Light and wonderful.

Sometimes you come across a sandwich where you can actually see how much effort has gone into it. This is very much one of those times, because this is a delightful product. It's in the 'Taste the Difference' range.

It's always pleasing to see a good serving of chicken, and not only does this sandwich offer this, the strips themselves are of a good size - no unnatural looking cubes here. It's bursting with moisture and flavour too, which is excellent. Then there are some very nice vine ripened tomatoes, which add both texture and taste. Tasty spinach also features - someone clearly worked that out neither lettuce nor rocket would work here, and they were right.

The mayonnaise is also very good. The serving is ideal, but what's really nice is that it avoids overpowering anything; it complements things perfectly. Even the malted brown bread (infused with seeds) works well, as does a perfect serving of basil (which can easily ruin sandwiches). In fact, the only thing wrong with this sandwich is its name. I have no idea what a 'Sunblush' tomatoes are, and I have no idea what they taste like either, because the only evidence they exist is a few red bits mixed in the mayonnaise. Just call it 'Chicken & Tomato' for crying out loud.

But this really is a great sandwich. Pretentious name aside, it packs plenty of flavour, quality ingredients, and varying texture into every mouthful. And compared to a lot of supermarket gourmet sandwiches, it's not bad value either.
